Welcome to Links

These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the Links platform ('Service', 'Platform', 'we', 'our'). By accessing or using Links, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our Service.

1 Service Description

Links is an online platform that allows you to save, organize, and search your web links. Our services include:

  • Save links from any website or social media platform
  • Organize links with custom categories and sources
  • Full-text search across titles, descriptions, and notes
  • Mark favorite links for quick access
  • Premium features via subscription

2 User Accounts

Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your access credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Links. By creating an account, you confirm that you have the legal age to enter into a binding contract in Portugal.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We recommend using strong and unique passwords. Links will not be responsible for any losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

3 Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

Links offers free and paid plans. Paid plans unlock premium features such as unlimited categories, advanced search, and priority support.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the chosen plan
  • Payments are securely processed through Stripe
  • Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled
  • Prices may change with 30 days prior notice

Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable, except when required by law. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium features until the end of the paid billing period.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through account settings or the billing portal. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

4 Acceptable Use

By using Links, you agree NOT to:

  • ✕ Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • ✕ Scrape, copy, or replicate our database
  • ✕ Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • ✕ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • ✕ Use bots, scripts, or unauthorized automated methods
  • ✕ Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

5 Privacy and Personal Data

Your privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and protection of your personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using Links, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy, including:

  • Account information (email, name)
  • Saved links and categories
  • Usage and analytics data
  • Payment information (processed through Stripe)

We comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6 Intellectual Property

The Links Service, including but not limited to all content, software, design, code, logos, trademarks, and compiled data, are the property of Links and are protected by Portuguese and international intellectual property laws.

License of Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for personal and non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the software
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without express authorization

7 Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Service is provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE', without warranties of any kind.

Links does not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service will be available at any time

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LINKS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Business interruption
  • Actions or omissions of third parties (payment processors)

Our total liability, in any case, will not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the last 12 months, or €100, whichever is less.

9 Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. Closure does not result in a refund of fees paid.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal behavior
  • Prolonged inactivity
  • At the request of legal authorities

Effects of Termination

After termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

10 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the website.

For material changes, we will attempt to notify you by email or through a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We recommend that you review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.

11 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute related to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, based in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

However, we respect the rights you may have under European Union consumer protection laws.
